NYC - Together We Rise: Influenced by a predominantly recent immigrant and first generation Bronx born populations, a mural by a local artist and small business owner, a full time tattoo artist, and father, will reveal his interpretation of perspectives, experiences and the struggle on our social fabric as we work towards a more compassionate, perfect union. In the coming weeks, Anaselies Rodriguez, Bronx-born and raised artist, passionate to illuminate beauty that may be seen as ugly, will release her digital documentation of this work of art. After a tough year under pressure as essential workers, KHCC is honored to highlight the beauty in the neighborhood and welcomes all to join us for a celebration!
On October 2nd, we expand the celebration to include a community based celebration of artistic works including the Mural Reveal, Exhibits, Book Making, Garden Volunteering and More! Attendees will enjoy empanadas from Claudy's Kitchen in the Bronx and enter into a raffle for paintings and gift cards!
