The Spring Luncheon will celebrate Kingsbridge Heights Community Center's 45th anniversary and legacy of empowering Bronx residents from birth until career age. The afternoon will include opportunities to network, lunch, and enjoy a discussion with recognized leaders whose work empowers our community, with an open conversation around the inextricable link between communities and corporations; the power of inclusiveness; and how organizations react to these changing needs.
Honorees include:
Tarana Burke, Founder, Me Too Movement
In 2008, Burke founded the Me Too Movement, an organization with a mission to help survivors of sexual violence, particularly young women of color from low wealth communities, find pathways to healing.
Ruben Diaz Jr., Bronx Borough President
Diaz has been in New York State politics for over two decades. He was elected as the Bronx Borough President in 2009, and he is currently serving his third full term. Prior to his current role, Borough President Diaz served seven terms in the State Legislature.
Steve Kimble, Chairman and CEO, Deloitte Tax, LLP
Kimble is the chairman and chief executive officer of Deloitte Tax LLP (Deloitte Tax) with leadership responsibility for more than 10,000 professionals across the United States and India. His responsibilities also extend to Deloitte’s US operations as a member of the US Executive Committee.
Our Luncheon Host: Nabila Ahmed
Nabila Ahmed is a Deals Reporter at Bloomberg News. Based in Bloomberg's New York office, Ahmed covers Mergers and Acquisitions. She is also a member of KHCC's Board of Directors.
