REFLECTIONS ON AN INTERN'S EXPERIENCE AT KHCC

Starting two months ago as a Development and Communications Intern at KHCC, I had no idea how much I would learn and how much I would enjoy it. The summer has been filled with growth, fun and relationship building.

IT WAS INSPIRATIONAL TO SEE ALL THE WAYS THAT KHCC HAS IMPACTED COUNTLESS PEOPLE.

In my role I have spearheaded a plethora of projects such as our newly launched corporate engagement package. We are excited about the prospect of working with more businesses in our community, whether that be through sponsorships, days of service, collaborations, or donations.  Hopefully this booklet is the beginning of many paths to partnerships in the future.

Additionally, I have been working to send out weekly newsletters so that donors, staff and community members alike can be informed of all the incredible things that KHCC participants and staff are doing, as well as ways to help. In the same vein, I have also conducted interviews with people throughout the center that will be featured in our blog. It was inspirational to see all the ways that KHCC has impacted countless people at different levels of programming.

WHO WOULDN'T LOVE THIS PLACE? I'M THANKFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH SUCH A GREAT COMMUNITY

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at KHCC. It has incredible programs and I am constantly amazed by the depth and breadth of the services that are provided. The passion and quality of people at KHCC made my job of promoting the mission and engaging the surrounding community incredibly easy. Who wouldn't love this place? I'm thankful for the opportunity to work with such a great community and am excited to return to see how the programming has progressed and forged deeper ties with the residents of the Bronx.
